.Distinguishing Marks:. Skylark is double-crowned, meaning the hair on his head spirals in two directions. This often results in his hair sticking up when not long enough to weigh itself down. Needless to say, Skylark is troubled by formal situations.

.Personality: .

Neurotic, paranoid, and eccentric are terms that can be used to describe Gren Skylark, though not to pathological degrees. These are simply the double-edged swords that help to make him Mentally Quick/Worrisome, Manipulative/Ill-at-Ease, and Innovative/Alienating.

Skylark is also a coward, though he refuses to admit it to himself. This does not mean that his Fight/Flight reflex rests on a hair trigger, but rather that he is terribly disassociative, mentally detracting from his body and observing the emotional/mental/physical damage as though it were happening to someone else. To others, this can give off the impression that he is absent-minded, superstitious, and, sometimes, a little unhinged. Being an intellectual, he is a skilled manipulator; enabling him to be a frequent traveler on the path of least resistance.

It is also of note that both of his parents were both wealthy merchants; his mother a particularly skilled salesperson. Gren often employs the "dumb human" routine to trick others into underestimating him or taking care of certain things on his behalf.

.Likes: .Fiction, fantastic ideas, fantastic people, trying and succeeding at new things, intellectual discussions and entertainment, trash literature, and pretty girls.

.Dislikes:. Reality, boredom, trying and failing at new things, loud people, and close-quarters combat.

.Quirks:. Oh, he bites his nails, and his hair can be pretty manic looking. He has the sexuality of an autistic.

.History:. Perhaps what contributed the most to Skylark's development was the fact that his parents moved him about Alderaan every three years or so. While this made him more cosmopolitan, it also drew attention to the disparities between educational systems, which earned him the ire of his classmates. While Gren was by no means a genius, the shift from a better-funded school to an impoverished one made sure he was treated as such. His parents too busy for him and not a friend in sight, Gren retreated into literature and make-believe.

The routine shake-up of his social identity kept Gren from ever developing a concrete notion as to who he was or what he was supposed to be. Still, he knew what he wanted for himself.

To be a Jedi.

Gren dreamed of being whisked away by the cosmic sages, taught mystical powers that could bend his very understanding of reality, and then wield them benevolently over those who had initially treated him poorly. He would be the chose one to bring balance to the Force. Puberty came and went, but the Jedi never showed. He furthered his education in social sciences in an effort to learn how to fake it, but that didn't really help either. Gren realized that he would have to grow up, and Gren felt he wouldn't be a man until he A) developed some discipline or B) killed a man.

After all, Gren was quite a bright, special guy. Surely, he would be possessing of those skills required to become one of those fabled Jedi-Killer agents. Everyone told him that job didn't exist, but Gren knew better. The Empire had great need of someone like him. Unsure of how to go about it, he decided to join Imperial Army (oddly instead of the Stormtrooper Corps...) as an enlistee (perhaps one the more gutsy moves of his life), hoping that Spec-Ops would one day notice his potential.

Gren set all his holodiscs on fire and marched over to the recruitment office.

Secretly, Gren still believes he is Force sensitive, despite the overwhelming evidence that he probably is not.

In the meantime, however, if you can't join 'em; beat 'em.

That was ages ago.

Since then, he's seen some shit.

EQUIPMENT: Gren carries what appears to be an E-11 rifle, though it is actually a custom job developed by Queen Engineer Super-Obvious Spy, Anne Sachae. While it appears to be standard issue (save for its bulkier barrel), the rifle is actually armed with a flamethrower and a mini-rocket launcher, and fires flechettes instead of the typical lasers. Despite being an insanely expensive piece to own as well as maintain, Gren's paranoia has got the better of him, stressing that Sachae also include a means to detonate the blaster should it ever fall into the wrong hands (Though this was lost in the fiasco on Naboo).

Other than the aforementioned blaster, it should be expected that Gren is armed with at least two grenades. He also has a tendency to carry the lightsabers of beaten Jedi on his person, some functional, some not, some reworked into explosive decoys...As of now, this only includes Tahira Solo's aquamarine, Tyden Bansche's red, and Hawk Hinata's green blade. No, he's not trained to use them. Tahira's, however, has been reworked into a taser-device.

At some point during his prefect career on Yavin IV, Gren managed to acquire a cortosis-alloy Sith lanvarok, though how has yet to be revealed. Keep watching "The Shadow over Yavin IV."
